I’m Sina Toossi, a policy analyst and writer focused on U.S.–Iran relations, Iranian politics, and Middle East affairs.

Dissident Foreign Policy challenges conventional wisdom in Washington and beyond, examining how variables such as power, ideology, and social movements shape the modern world. Drawing on over a decade of experience in foreign policy and human rights research at leading think tanks in Washington, DC and academic institutions, I explore the intersection of security, diplomacy, and society through a critical and realist lens—while striving never to lose sight of the human dimension.

This publication brings together original analysis, translated primary sources, and reflections on a shifting global geopolitical landscape. It’s a space for readers seeking nuance over dogma, and a vision of foreign policy and humanity grounded not in fear and dominance, but in cooperation and dignity.
